Pink 'is least popular colour among UK motorists

UK drivers have identified pink as the least desirable colour for a car in a new survey.

A poll conducted by online vehicle dealer Carsite.co.uk has revealed that the garish hue, popular among celebrity drivers such as Paris Hilton and Elton John, is the one most likely to put British car buyers off.

Other colours which proved unpopular choices include brown, gold and lilac, while the most popular shades remain silver, black and blue, accounting for 65 per cent of UK vehicles.

Alistair Jeff of Carsite.co.uk stated that the data should also act as a warning to any car customers looking to buy a vehicle with an eye on selling it on later.

He said: "Conservatively toned models will traditionally achieve a higher resale value than their more vibrantly coloured counterparts."

This comes after research by automotive paint supplier PPG industries earlier this month revealed that silver is the single most popular car colour in the world.

Elton John's Letter to Himself

Remember that letter you wrote to yourself in high school? Well, if your English teacher actually managed to send them out some 10 years later, you were probably shocked and shamed by the ramblings that arrived in the mail.

A more interesting approach is being implemented for a new book called Dear Me: A Letter to My Sixteen-Year-Old Self. The collection of letters for the book includes an especially revealing entry from Elton John. The legendary music man says he regrets waiting to start his sex life and warned his younger self to skip the drugs and debauchery as "they're a waste of time" and to "have lots of safe sex."

In his letter Elton John reflected, "I made the mistake of not having sex until I was 23! I loved being with another man and felt relieved that I finally knew who I was. I made the mistake of falling in love too soon because I was naive and romantic."

"My advice to you is to never chase love. It will find you when you least expect it. Have fun, have lots of safe sex and enjoy your sexuality. Be proud of who you are."

“I made a lot of mistakes," he admitted. "Stay away from drugs, they’re a waste of time. Stand up for every human being’s rights. Be loving, kind and strong. Set an example. You’re going to have one hell of a life!”
The letter appears in Joseph Galliano’s new book Dear Me: A Letter to My Sixteen-Year-Old Self.

Allen mocks Elton John

London , Oct 21 Pop star Lily Allen, who is more famous for her antics than her music, has now poked fun at Elton John by featuring a look-a-like of the music legend in her new music video.
The pair co-hosted the&aposGQ Men Of The Year Awards&aposlast year but Elton appeared to grow impatient with Allen, who reportedly drank champagne throughout the ceremony and was intoxicated while on stage.
The 62-year-old musician seemed to lose his temper with the&aposSmile&aposhitmaker and she reportedly responded by telling him to get lost.
They both brushed off the fall out, but Allen has since credited the incident with her decision to quit booze because it left her"upset and angry."
And now Allen has recorded a video for her new single&aposWho&aposd Have Known', in which she gazes at images of Elton, before he is kidnapped and forced to declare his love for her.

Lily Allen mocks Sir Elton John

London (ANI): Lily Allen has mocked Sir Elton John in her new music video by featuring his look alike.
The track “Who'd Have Known”, shows her gazing at pics of the “Candle in the Wind” hitmaker, before he is kidnapped and forced to declare his love for her. The rift between the two had developed when they co-hosted the GQ Men Of The Year Awards in London last year, reports the Daily Star.

John was miffed with Allen, after she reportedly drank champagne and took to the stage. The “Smile” hitmaker had responded to his resentment by saying "f**k off". Allen later decided to quit alcohol because she said she was 'upset and angry' with herself.

Sir Elton John Now Eyes Africa For Adoption

After being banned from adopting a 14-month-old tot by the Ukrainian government, Sir Elton John and partner are considering adopting a boy in Africa.

The musician’s civil partner, David Furnish, disclosed at the launch of Stephen Calloway’s book Gosling: Classic Design for Contemporary Interiors, at the Ritz: “We were in Africa for Aids Foundation and met a boy, and immediately thought about adopting him,”

“When we found out he had a maternal grandmother, and brother and sister, we realised it wouldn’t be the right thing to take him away from the family he had there,” he said.

The pair, who “married” in a civil partnership ceremony in Windsor in 2005, have decided that they will not challenge the government in Kiev after one of its ministers said that 62-year-old Sir Elton John was too old to adopt and that it did not allow homosexuals to do so, reports The Telegraph.

“We would love to adopt Lev, but that does not seem possible under Ukrainian rules,” said Furnish.
